"An Evening
of Wolfgangs," held
at the Behringer-Crawford
Museum on March 14, 2008, turned out to be a lively event -
with music by Wolfgang A. Mozart, Wolfgang-Puck-inspired food,
and my talk in the education auditorium about my life and art,
followed by a discussion of my Kentucky paintings in the
Gallery! I believe a good time was had by all, finally,
after the postponement of the event due to severe winter
conditions in the Greater Cincinnati area one week earlier.

Tombola 2007
In 1897, the Cincinnati Art Club, CAC,
supported the Cincinnati Art Museum, CAM, by organizing a "tombola",
i.e. a raffling off a painting created by 29 of the best artists of
the CAC. This "Tombola 1897" painting is part of the CAM's
Cincinnati Wing. After 110 years, the CAM proposed to repeat
this event. Again, 29 Cincinnati artists were chosen to create
the "Tombola 2007" which was unveiled on March 8th at the Cincinnati
Art Museum. I feel highly honored to have been part of this
collaborative effort with my painting "Mission Out West".

Ride Cincinnati Metro Buses with Ritschel Art!
Following the example of New York and London, the
Cincinnati Metro System invited Cincinnati artists to create
artwork to be displayed inside the buses during spring and
summer. I participated with the three paintings shown
below and one panel containing an inspirational text: "The
past we cannot change, the present is ours to improve, the
future depends on it!" (Prints, matted 19" x
30.25" are
available on request at $99 each.)
